Hi, my name is Vicki Russell and I feel very fortunate to be able to have a career that I am passionate about and that I really love. I have been an animal lover of all sorts all of my life and find that dogs really are my best friends.

Even while I held other jobs I was always training my dogs and often other people's dogs as well. I have had the opportunity to work on a cattle ranch for three years and I got my dog Wiley specifically to help me herd cattle. He started when he was just four months old and by the time he was a year old he was easily moving bulls between fields and cutting out calves for other fields. Until he passed away it was still one of his favorite things to so. I have been a 4-H co-leader for dogs and their kids working on obedience, agility and show. My daughter, her dog Zoey and I spent four years attending the Evergreen State Fair where the kids got to show off all that they and their dogs had learned throughout the year. I had also been employed at a local pet store teaching group classes for nearly a year. There I realized how much I liked working with people and their dogs and have decided to work on my own focusing on people's individual needs. I have acted as an onsite dog trainer for adoption events helping people make choices on what kind of dog would be good for their family and lifestyle. I currently volunteer my time at Homeward Pet Adoption Center in Woodinville, a no-kill cat and dog shelter where I love to interact with the dogs seeing what they know and helping them learn new skills making them more adoptable.

Wanting to enhance my skills in dog training I enrolled in the Animal Behavior College where I earned my certification as a dog trainer. This year long course has provided me with formal education in canine obedience training and the understanding behind their behaviors and motives. I believe my certification, education and experience provides me with the skills to effectively and humanely train your dog all the while making sure to have fun and keep the spark alive that makes your dog so special to you.
